Report: Eagles interviewing Zac Robinson for open offensive coordinator job

Zac Robinson, currently the Atlanta Falcons' offensive coordinator, is set to interview with the Philadelphia Eagles for their vacant position. According to a report from ESPN, Robinson will be joining the search process alongside other top candidates.

A native of the NFL coaching ranks, Robinson has established himself as an assistant coach in several prominent franchises, including the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons. His experience in this capacity includes stints as an assistant quarterbacks coach, wide receivers coach, and pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach. Prior to his current role with the Falcons, he spent time as a quarterback in the league from 2010 to 2013.

Under Robinson's guidance, the Falcons' offense has seen notable improvements, particularly in terms of yardage gained per game, which increased by 8 points over the course of his two seasons as offensive coordinator. However, inconsistencies persist, with the team giving away an average of 24 giveaways per game during that time frame.

While some analysts have questioned Robinson's effectiveness behind the helm, the Falcons' young talent – including running back Bijan Robinson and quarterback Michael Penix – presents a promising foundation for success. The Eagles will be keenly evaluating his ability to build on this potential.

In a statement to ESPN, Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni emphasized that the team would be casting a "wide net" in their search for a new offensive coordinator, suggesting an interest in exploring multiple candidates before making a decision.

As Robinson joins the list of top contenders vying for the Eagles' vacant position, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how his interview plays out.

Omg, Zac Robinson is definitely someone to keep an eye on! He's been killing it as the Falcons' OC and I love the young talent he's got working under him. Bijan Robinson and Michael Penix are so talented and if they can get the offense clicking with Coach Robinson at the helm, I think the Eagles could be onto something special. 🤩 The fact that Philly is casting a wide net too just shows how competitive this coaching job is gonna be. Fingers crossed he gets the gig and proves all the haters wrong! 😊

🤔 I don’t usually comment but... I think Zac Robinson's experience as a quarterback in the league could actually end up being an advantage for him with the Eagles. He knows what it takes to perform under pressure, and that could be really valuable when working with a young team like theirs 🏈

omg can't believe we're already seeing moves like this in the off season 🤯 i mean i'm no expert but it seems like the eagles are looking for someone who can build on the young talent they got, and zac robinson's resume looks solid enough... but at the same time, 24 giveaways per game is a lot to swallow 😂 i think nick sirianni is right in saying they're casting a wide net, gotta see what other options are out there before making a decision. but hey, if anyone can make it work, it's robinson 🤞

🤔 so this guy Zac Robinson is supposed to be a top candidate for the Eagles' OC job? I'm not sure what's so impressive about him yet... 8 points more yardage per game under his guidance sounds nice, but 24 giveaways per game still seems like a big red flag. And what's up with all these different roles he's had in his coaching career? Is this guy a jack-of-all-trades or something? 🤷‍♂️ I need to see some more info on him before I get too excited about the Eagles' chances. Where's his evaluation report from 2 seasons ago, btw? 😒

😊 The thing is, I think people are being too harsh on Zac Robinson. He's only been in the job for two seasons, so it's not like he's some veteran coach who's gonna just magically fix everything. The Falcons' offense was a mess before he got there, and now it's showing signs of improvement. Yeah, they still give away way too many turnovers, but that's on the players, not him. He's doing his best with what he's got, and the young talent he's got is actually pretty promising. I think he'd be a great fit for Philly, and people should cut him some slack 🤷‍♂️

Ugh I'm so done with these NFL interviews 🙄, can't they just pick someone already?! 😩 I mean Zac Robinson's got some decent credentials, but 8 points more yards gained per game? That's not exactly setting the world on fire 💥. And don't even get me started on those giveaways - 24 of them a game? What's wrong with this guy's mind? 🤯

But you know who might actually make something out of it, the young talent on that Falcons team? Bijan Robinson and Michael Penix, they've got some fire in their bellies 🔥. I'd love to see how Zac manages them, if he can even get 'em to not turn the ball over every 5 seconds 🤦‍♂️.

I'm so tired of all these coaches coming and going, it's like they're all just passing the torch or something 🔪. Can't we just find someone who's gonna make a real difference for once? 🙌

omg u gotta think about this, if zac robinson goes 2 philly, its gonna be huge 4 them young talent like bijan robinson & michael penix - they already got the skills but robinson's coaching could be the game changer. i mean, he did improve their yardage per game by 8 points in 2 seasons, thats not bad @ all! but at the same time, they still give away alot of giveaways, so it depends on how well robinson can fix that. i think nick sirianni is right to cast a wide net, u never know who's gonna step up & lead their offense 2 victory 🤔

🤔 The thing is, people always talk about Zac Robinson's improvement with the Falcons offense, but they never mention the team's overall defense 🚫... I mean, 24 giveaways per game? That's crazy! 🤯 Like, what even is that? It doesn't matter if he's a genius QB coach or not, if the D can't stop the other team from scoring, it's gonna be tough for him to succeed. Plus, Bijan Robinson is all right I guess, but can't compare to guys like Saquon Barkley or Christian McCaffrey 🤷‍♂️... Eagles better find someone who can balance offense and defense, or else they'll just end up 7-10 every year 😔

I'm totally against Zac Robinson getting the job 😒. He's been good at the Falcons, don't get me wrong, but I think he's gonna be way too conservative for Philly 🤔. Those young guys are hungry for some aggressive play-calling and I think Robinson's gonna hold them back 🚫. And let's be real, the Eagles need someone to shake things up, not just tinker with the same old stuff 🔩. Nick Sirianni's trying to say they're keeping it wide open, but trust me, he's gotta want a game-changer 😎.

🤔 I gotta say, I'm kinda nostalgic for the old-school QBs like Michael Penix... those guys were just so much more chill on the field 🌴. Nowadays it feels like they're all so robotic and focused on stats 📊. Don't get me wrong, I love a good analytics-driven offense as much as the next guy, but sometimes I think we lose sight of what really matters: having fun with the game 🎮.

And can we talk about how weird it is that Nick Sirianni is looking to "cast a wide net" for their OC search? Like, isn't the point of being in charge to pick your own team? 🤷‍♂️ Still, I'm curious to see what Zac Robinson brings to the table – maybe he's just the coach we need to shake things up around here 🔥.

just saw this news about zac robinson 🤔, i think it's interesting that he's interviewing with the eagles... they need someone to take their offense to the next level 💪. robinson's got experience in the league and has shown some positive changes with the falcons' offense 🔀. but at the same time, his team still gives away a lot of giveaways 📉. we'll see how he does with the eagles... maybe they can help him iron out those inconsistencies 💡

I think Zac Robinson has got some awesome credentials for the job 🤔💼. He's clearly done well in Atlanta with that young talent on board - Bijan and Michael are looking like a great combo 😄. The fact that they're seeing improvements in yardage per game is definitely a positive sign. Of course, there's always room for improvement, but I think he's got the potential to build something special 💪.

What's interesting is that Philly is being pretty open about their search process - casting a wide net and all that 🌐. It'll be cool to see how Robinson's interview goes down, and whether they'll take a shot on him or keep looking 🔍. I'm curious to see what he brings to the table 😊.

OMG you guys! 🤯 I just saw that Zac Robinson is going to interview with the Philly Eagles and I'm like totally intrigued! 💭 As a wellness enthusiast, I don't really know much about football, but it sounds like he's been making some major changes to the Falcons' offense. Like, 8 points more yards gained per game? That's amazing! 🏈

But what I love most is that he gets to work with such young talent now... Bijan and Michael Robinson sound like an awesome duo 🤝! And from what I've heard, Nick Sirianni is all about keeping an open mind and exploring different candidates. So fingers crossed for Zac, right? 🤞 He's got this! 💪

📊🏈 so like this is gonna be interesting... according to NFL stats, the average number of giveaways per game increased by 3 points when the Atlanta Falcons went from an OC with a 25% win rate to one with a 35% win rate. Robinson's improvement in yards gained per game over his two seasons as OC is pretty sweet too - that's like an extra 200 yards per game, folks! 📈

but let's not forget the bigger picture... if the Eagles go for this guy, they'll be looking at a whole new dynamic in their offense. and with Nick Sirianni on board, I think he's got a solid shot at finding the right fit... but at the end of the day, it's all about the game-day performances, you know? 🏈👀

Just heard about this news and I gotta say, Zac Robinson seems like a solid pick-up for the Eagles 🤔. The kid's got some serious NFL experience under his belt and he's already shown some impressive results with the Falcons' offense 👍. Bijan Robinson is looking like a star in the making too, that kid's speed and agility are gonna make him a nightmare to defend 🔴⚫️. I'm curious to see how Coach Sirianni evaluates his fit for the team tho, gotta know if he can really build on that potential 🤝.

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, another top candidate joins the fray and I'm not even sure why we need a "wide net" approach... it's just gonna lead to overcomplication! 😩 I mean, come on Philly, you've got some great young talent but can't they just figure out their OC situation already?! 🤯 The Falcons have made progress under Zac Robinson but it's all about consistency, not flash in the pan. 💡 I'm skeptical of this guy joining the search process... does he even know what works for a team with his own QB?! 🤷‍♂️

just saw that zac robinson is interviewing with the eagles 🤔, hope they can get it right, this offense has been kinda inconsistent lately... 8 points more yardage per game under him sounds nice tho 👍

Just saw that Zac Robinson is interviewing with the Eagles 🤔... think he'd be a good fit. The young talent they've got on their team could really benefit from someone like him. He's been solid as OC for the Falcons, even if they didn't finish every season as well as expected. Bijan and Michael are gonna need some help making plays, but Robinson might just be the guy to do it 🏈... hope he gets a shot at it! 😊

I'm kinda feeling nostalgic for when the Eagles had Donovan McNabb leading the charge 🏈... just kidding, that was a whole different era 😂. But seriously, Zac Robinson's got some solid credentials under his belt as an assistant coach in the league. It's cool to see him getting considered for the OC role, especially with that young talent on the Falcons' roster. Bijan and Michael are definitely promising, but it'll be interesting to see how Zac builds on their potential.

I do hope they don't forget about experience, though 🤔. I mean, we all know about the ups and downs of coaching in the NFL... the highs being the Super Bowl wins, and the lows being, well, the rest 😅. Whoever gets the job is gonna have to navigate that tightrope and make some smart decisions to get this offense firing on all cylinders 🔥. Fingers crossed for Philly! 👍
