Pakistan boycott shows growing divide between cricket's commercial needs and political reality | Taha Hashim

man this decision by icc is like they're more concerned with makin money than actual cricket 🤑... i mean dont get me wrong, pakistan has a right to play or not play against india but can't we just have a tournament where all teams can coexist? its like the whole thing is fueled by nationalism and ego... think about the fans back in pakistan who are missin out on the final match at home it's like they're bein left behind 🤷‍♂️

and what's with this hybrid model? its like icc is tryin to create a separate league just for india and pakistan but that dont make sense... shouldn't it just be about the teams comin together to compete against each other? i feel like cricket is losin its way sometimes 🤔

So the ICC went ahead and decided to prioritize $$$ over eyeballs...literally separating teams just because two countries aren't on good terms 🤷‍♂️. Like, what's next? Cutting off the internet in Pakistan during the final match so fans can't even stream it themselves? 📺 The commercial benefits of these matches are insane ($3 billion, wow) but I guess that doesn't translate to actually letting people watch the game they want to see...cricket is all about sportsmanship, right? 🏟️

I'm so gutted about this decision 🤕. I mean, cricket is supposed to bring people together, right? But now it feels like a total sideshow 🎪. All those fans in Pakistan who were super stoked to watch their team compete and maybe even win a match... what's going to happen to them? They've been waiting for this moment for years! 🤔 And don't even get me started on the commercial aspect of it all - $3 billion?! That's just crazy money 💸. I think the ICC is totally missing the point if they're more worried about lining their pockets than looking out for the fans. It's time to rethink the way we do cricket tournaments and prioritize what really matters: the love of the game 🏟️💖.

omg I'm literally so done with the drama between India and Pakistan 🤯 this T20 World Cup is all about $$$ 💸 and not even about the love of the game anymore 🏏 I mean what's next? Are they gonna boycott the next Olympics too? 🏅 this jingoism around cricket is getting toxic and I don't want to see any more tension between fans worldwide 😔 it's time for some real sporting integrity, not just about who's gonna make the most money 💸

🤔 The whole situation with India and Pakistan not playing each other at the T20 World Cup is really weird 🙃. I mean, they've been competing in every major tournament for years, so it's not like this is a new thing. But now we have to watch them play without ever seeing those two teams face off on the field 🏟️. It's like the ICC is more worried about making money than having an actual competition 🤑. And what about all the fans in Pakistan who were looking forward to watching the final match at home? 😔 They're gonna be really disappointed. Maybe the ICC should rethink its priorities and focus on what's best for the sport, not just the profits 💸.
