... how can something like this happen to someone who's just trying to raise her family and live her life? It's devastating that those 5 kids will have to grow up without their mom, and I'm sure they're all gonna be struggling with so much grief and trauma...

I mean, Kiara Jenkins lived next door to her kids... what did she do wrong? Was it a gang thing or just a random Tuesday morning? 
Either way, those five little munchkins are gonna be crying themselves to sleep for the rest of their lives. Alderman Jeanette Taylor is right though - justice and compassion are needed ASAP. Can't let this tragedy be in vain... but like, what's the point, right? 
Her kids must be going through hell right now. I feel for them, it's just not fair. 
But what really gets me is how senseless this act of violence was. Can't we just live in peace?
