Metra's all about playing it safe. I mean, who needs any actual service cuts or fare hikes when you can just throw more money at the problem? It's like they're trying to kick the can down the road even further! And don't even get me started on those "modest service increases" - we all know what that means... more crowded trains and longer delays. Not exactly the most inspiring prospects for commuters. At least Pace is doing something about their bus services, but I guess it's just too little, too late?
