just hope everyone in nyc gets their power back on soon... been stuck at home with no heat all day it's been super cold anyone without power should def check on their elderly neighbors, some ppl might be struggling to stay warm city crews r doin the best they can but it's just not enough snow plows out there
I donโt usually comment but I gotta say, this winter storm thingy is crazy! I mean, I've lived in NYC my whole life and I never thought I'd see a snowstorm like this. It's like, the city's on lockdown or something . I'm glad the mayor's team is working hard to get everything back up and running, but it's gonna take some time, you know? And the poor guys who are without power or heat... my grandma would be all over that . Anyway, I think it's great that they're prioritizing the seniors and folks with disabilities - that's just good ol' human decency .
OMG, I'm so relieved to hear that crews are making progress in clearing snow from roads and restoring electricity! It's been ages since we've had power at our place , but I know many more people who are still without heat or power. The mayor's words about the emergency responders being "excellent" is totally deserved - they're literally saving lives out there! Let's all give a big shoutout to the DSNY too for their hard work, even if it means dealing with congested streets and sidewalks . And omg, checking on vulnerable neighbors is such an awesome idea - we should totally be looking out for each other right now!
I'm still trying to get used to all this snow ! I feel for those who got hit hardest, power outages can be so frustrating . But kudos to Mayor Mamdani for keeping everyone updated on the city's progress - it's awesome that emergency responders are working around the clock to help those in need .
I'm also loving the community spirit here , people checking on each other and offering assistance... it's a great reminder of what's truly important . The DSNY is doing their best to get everything back to normal, even if some areas are still congested, that's just part of the process .
I hope everyone stays warm and safe until the power comes back on !
