I just saw Kristen Stewart's speech at the Women's Luncheon and I'm SHOOK ! 85% of films made in Hollywood have a male director ... meanwhile, women make up only 12% of all directors . We need more women in charge, stat! The MeToo movement was supposed to be about progress but it's clear we still got a long way to go

Let's look at some numbers:

* Women make up 47% of all writers in the film industry (Source: Writers Guild of America)

omg u gotta feel me this is like the ultimate clapback from kristen stewart!!! i'm low-key impressed by her conviction tho she's right tho, the industry still got a long way to go in terms of representation and empowerment. it's crazy that ppl are still surprised when female creators speak up about being silenced or tokenized anyway, kudos to her for speaking truth to power & celebrating other women's successes let's get those women behind the camera & let their voices be heard
