. I mean, we've been hearing about the IRS needing a shake-up for ages, so let's hope they actually follow through with some real changes

I'm also a bit skeptical about Gary Shapley being brought back on board

, but at the same time, his experience as IRS Commissioner could be valuable in leading the Criminal Investigation division

. And I guess having a former whistleblower like Joseph Ziegler leading internal consulting efforts is a good thing

... but what if it's just more of the same old bureaucracy?

I just wish they'd focus on addressing some of the real issues, like staffing levels and taxpayer service, rather than just making big announcements and promises

. But hey, maybe I'm just being too pessimistic
