Highguard, a hyperpop arena shooter and other new indie games worth checking out

The Nintendo Switch is like my grandma's house - everything is nice and tidy on the surface, but if you dig deep enough, there's all this weird stuff going on. Like, I get it, some games are more "family friendly" than others, but do they really need to censor everything on the Switch? It's just so... extra 🤷‍♂️.

And can we talk about indie games for a sec? There's some great new releases out there, like Highguard and Don't Stop, Girlypop! But then you have games that are just, like, visually stunning but gameplay-wise, meh. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to make an arena shooter with too much clutter? 😂

But hey, at least we've got some new stuff to look forward to, right? Like Cairn on PS5 and Steam, which looks like a solid climbing adventure game. And then there's Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator... I mean, who wouldn't want to speculate on the futures of babies? 🤑 It's gonna be interesting to see how this one plays out.

I'm all about being mindful of what we're exposing ourselves to on our screens 😊. I think it's crazy that Nintendo's Switch version of Dispatch has all the explicit content censored just because it's their console 👀. It raises some serious questions about who gets to decide what's acceptable content and how that affects game developers. Maybe they should give players more control over this stuff, like on other platforms 🤔.

Anyway, have you checked out Highguard? I'm all about fast-paced action games 💥! The indie scene is always buzzing with new releases, and it sounds like there's some really cool stuff coming up 🎮. Cairn seems particularly interesting with its procedurally generated worlds and massive events - I might have to give that one a try 🤔.
