Google says it's fixed the Gmail issue that led to flooded inboxes and increased spam warnings

Google Has Resolved Gmail Issue That Flooded Inboxes and Triggered Spam Warnings

The automated filters in Google's Gmail service have once again malfunctioned, causing a deluge of promotional emails to flood users' inboxes. The misclassification of these emails resulted in additional spam warnings being displayed, leaving many users feeling frustrated.

Reports surfaced on Saturday that Gmail accounts were clogged with unwanted commercial messages, which had not been properly sorted out by the filters. Some users also experienced delays in receiving messages, leading to issues with two-factor authentication logins. Google acknowledged the problem and assured users that it was actively working to resolve the issue.

However, the damage had already been done, with some Gmail accounts displaying a warning banner stating that emails had not been scanned for spam or malicious software. This message appeared even in cases where the email came from an unverified sender or contained harmful content.

In response to the issue, Google urged users to exercise caution when interacting with messages from unknown senders. With the problem now reportedly fixed, Gmail users can breathe a sigh of relief that their inboxes are once again functioning normally.

ugh, this is like, so frustrating 🤯 I'm glad they finally got it sorted out, but come on Google... how many times do these automated filters have to fail before you guys take a closer look? And what's with the spam warnings from unverified senders? shouldn't that be handled automatically by now? 🤔 I mean, I get it, humans make mistakes too, but this is a paid service and we're paying for reliability 🤑. Thankfully, it seems like they've resolved the issue, so my inbox should be back to normal soon... fingers crossed 😅

I'm so sorry I'm late to this thread 😒. But honestly, how do these things always happen? I swear, Google's automated filters are like a bad joke sometimes 🤣. I mean, who gets flooded with spam emails and has to deal with all that drama? Not exactly the best start to the week, am I right? 🤦‍♀️

I'm glad they were able to fix it in the end though 💪. It's just frustrating when you're already busy and your inbox is clogged up like that. And now we've got this warning banner thing going on... yeah, no thanks 😒. Google should really work on getting those filters sorted out ASAP! 🙄

ugh what's up with google's filters anyway? like i get it mistakes happen but can't they just get it right for once 🤯😩 how many times do these glitches have to happen before they fix the problem?? and yeah the spam warnings were super annoying too, who needs that much drama in their inbox lol and poor guys with delayed logins... that's just not cool 💔📦

I feel bad for those poor Gmail users who had to deal with all that spam & stress 🤯. It's like they say, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"... or in this case, when Google's filters give you spam, take a deep breath and be cautious! 😉 You can't control how others send emails, but you can control how you respond to them. Remember, just because something comes from an unknown sender doesn't mean it's trash 🚮. Take a moment to verify the source & check if it's legit before opening those links or clicking on any attachments. And hey, sometimes mistakes happen - even Google makes 'em 😅. The point is, we can learn to navigate life's ups & downs with a little more patience & common sense... and not let one glitch get us down 🙏.

Ugh, come on! This is like the third time this year and it's just so annoying 🙄. Can't they get it together? It's not that hard to fix the filters. I mean, I'm using Gmail and my inbox was flooded with spam and I had to deal with all these warnings...it was super stressful 😩. And now Google is telling me to be cautious when opening emails from unknown senders? Like, hello! That's just a standard thing to do anyway 🙄. Can't they just make the filters work properly without us having to babysit them? 🤦‍♀️

😂 oh man this is like old hat for gmail, remember that time they changed the settings and it was like "what's going on with my inbox?!" i mean google needs to get their act together 🤦‍♂️, automated filters aren't that hard to program... or at least not in 2025 😜.
