At a Veterans Day party thrown by RFK Jr. insider Jessica Reed Kraus and DC power publicist Vanessa Santos of Renegade, the solemn occasion took an unexpected turn when two surprise guests showed up to shake things up: disgraced Rep. George Santos and socialite Anna Delvey.
The evening began with a moving toast from Ryan Manion, CEO of the Travis Manion Foundation, paying tribute to the armed forces. However, as the night wore on, the tone shifted from somber to sidesplitting, thanks in large part to Santos' and Delvey's unorthodox appearance.
Santos was spotted strolling into the party hand-in-hand with his fellow "former jailbird" friend, whose vivid imagination has landed them both in hot water. When asked by host Jessica Reed Kraus what Santos had to do with veterans, she diplomatically replied, "We've yet to figure that out exactly, but who's going to turn down an interview with America's most disgraced congressman?"
The two took to the stage for a round of "F - - k, Marry, Deport," followed by Santos leading the audience in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The night was described as "equal parts sincerity, satire and spectacle" by a spy on the scene.
Despite the party's bizarre turn, both Santos and Delvey managed to pay their respects to the veterans in their own unique ways. However, it remains to be seen how long they'll be able to keep up this level of irreverent behavior without getting themselves into more trouble.
