England football: The great number nine decline - where have English strikers gone?

I think its gonna be super hard for england to win that world cup with all these injuries they're having . And yeah, harry kane is a top player but he cant do it alone. They really shouldve signed some decent strikers before now or at least had some depth in the squad . Its not just about harry kane and rashford and saka scoring goals, its about having a solid team that can hold their own against other teams ️.

omg u guys i feel so frustrated lol england is gonna get destroyed at the world cup if they dont sort out their striker situation i mean like what r they even doing?? harry kane is great but hes not filling the void left by those other strikers who retired...and rashford and saka are scoring goals but cmon they're not exactly goal-scoring machines and owen is like the ultimate example of a striker being too old for the game lol i get it he's still got skills but cmon he knows he wont get picked

I think they're being too harsh on Harry Kane... he's still one of our best strikers and can adapt to any system . And what about all the other talented young strikers coming up through the ranks? Maybe we should give them a chance instead of constantly looking for someone like Alan Shearer or Owen back in the day .

I dont think england can win world cup without proper 9, its not just about harry kane scoring goals, team needs atleast 2 good center backs who can hold up ball and bring others into play

I don’t usually comment but... I feel like the English team is being a bit too reliant on these young guns Rashford and Saka . Don’t get me wrong, they’re both amazing players, but as Shearer said, having a good mix of strikers would be way more effective in terms of scoring goals . It’s just not the same as having a proper target man like Alan Shearer back in the day . And what about Kane? I think he’s doing okay, but I don’t want to see him carrying the team on his own again . A bit of depth would be nice...
