Eagles offensive coordinator search, coach rumor and report tracker

The Philadelphia Eagles have relieved their offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo, of his duties after a disappointing 2025 season. The team is now searching for a new OC, and we will keep track of all the developments in this tracker.

Sean Mannion has been hired as the new OC, with a second interview taking place. Josh Grizzard, a former Buccaneers OC, is also in the running, having had two interviews with the Eagles already. Jim Bob Cooter, another candidate, joined Mannion and Grizzard for the second round of interviews.

Jeff Stoutland, who was the run game coordinator last season, may not be returning to that role this year. While he has been praised by players and coaches alike, his position was taken away from him at some point during the 2025 season due to issues with injuries on the offensive line.

The Eagles also interviewed Packers QBs coach Sean Mannion for OC job before hiring him as their new OC. The fact that Mannion is a former quarterback himself might be an advantage in this role, but it's also clear that he won't be the only candidate vying for the position.

Other teams are also looking for OCs, with Davis Webb of the Broncos and Brian Daboll of the Titans being popular choices.

The Eagles have asked to interview Dolphins passing game coordinator Bobby Slowik and Buccaneers OC Josh Grizzard. The team is reportedly interested in replacing Nick Sirianni's scheme with a new one, which might be an opportunity for some candidates who are looking to leave their current job.

Mike Kafka was hired by the Lions as a high-ranking offensive staff member after interviewing with the Eagles.

LSU OC Charlie Weis Jr. spoke with the Eagles about their open OC position but decided not to take it.

Michael Clay will remain the Eagles' special teams coach, despite receiving interest from other teams.

Christian Parker has been asked to interview with the Cowboys for the open defensive coordinator job.

Kliff Kingsbury and Kevin Stefanski will "get a real look" for the Eagles offensive coordinator position, according to reports.

OMG 🤯 just saw that Sean Mannion is not only interviewing for OC but also got the job 🎉👏! I think it's crazy how his QB background might help him connect with players better 🤝. Jeff Stoutland was a great coach, though 🤔. Maybe he'll get another chance elsewhere? 💯 The Eagles are trying out some new schemes, which is always exciting for fans like me 🎊🏈

just saw this news about the eagles new oc, sean mannion 🤔... i think its kinda cool that he got a 2nd interview lol, seems like they want someone with experience 😊 but also wanna shake things up maybe? gotta wonder what happened with kevin patullo tho, did they just lose faith in him or was it injuries on the line that was the main issue 🤕 also, does sean mannion's bg as a quarterback help or hurt his chances of winning the job? 🤷‍♂️

I'm low-key surprised they didn't keep Jeff Stoutland as run game coordinator 🤔... the guy's got some legit experience under his belt and players seem to love him. Plus, it's not like they're gonna find someone better overnight, right? The thing is, with Sean Mannion on board, I think they wanna shake things up and try a different approach. They're probably hoping he brings some new energy to the OC position 🤞... but honestly, it's all about results at this point, and if that doesn't pan out, who knows what'll happen? 😐

so the Eagles are done with Patullo 🤦‍♂️, now they're looking at Sean Mannion... interesting that he was interviewed before too 🕰️, can't say if it'll make a difference but maybe his QB background will help 🤔. Josh Grizzard is another strong contender though 💪, the problem with the run game last season was legit (injuries on O-line), so someone who's experienced in that area would be a good fit 🚧. also heard they wanna change up their scheme, could make things more interesting 😁. what do you guys think?

I'm low-key impressed that Sean Mannion got the OC gig, but like, at the same time I think he might've been an easy pick? 🤔 I mean, who wouldn't want a QB coach with some experience under their belt? But what if he's too green for this role? Shouldn't they be looking for someone more... seasoned? 🤷‍♂️ Still, the fact that Josh Grizzard and Jim Bob Cooter are in the mix is kinda cool. Maybe it'll create some interesting competition? ⚔️ But can we please talk about how Jeff Stoutland got benched like, what even happened with his run game coord role this year? 🤯

OMG 🤯 I think Sean Mannion is def gonna be a great OC for the Eagles! He's got that QB brain still going on, which is super valuable for an OC 😅 And yeah, Davis Webb would be awesome too... he's always been so chill about his interviews 😎 Can't wait to see who else gets snatched up by other teams 🤝 The fact that they're looking for a new scheme might just make some of these candidates jump at the chance 🔥

I'm a bit surprised that Sean Mannion got hired as the new OC so quickly 🤔. I mean, he's been doing a decent job in Tampa, but it seems like the Eagles are looking for some big changes this season. The fact that Josh Grizzard and Jim Bob Cooter were also in the running is a good sign, though - they both have experience working with quarterbacks, which could be an asset in Philly.

But what really gets me is that Jeff Stoutland might not be returning as run game coordinator 🤷‍♂️. I know injuries are a big deal on offense lines, but it feels like the Eagles are throwing their running game out the window for now. Maybe they're trying to adopt a more pass-happy approach? It's an interesting development, and I'm curious to see how things shake out.

I also wonder if Sean Mannion's QB background will be a major factor in his success as OC 🤞. As a former quarterback himself, he might have an edge in terms of understanding the offense. But at the same time, it's not like he was playing against elite defenses - I'm not sure how well that translates to the NFL level.

Anyway, with all these changes happening, it's definitely going to be a wild ride for the Eagles this season 🎢!
