Bayern go into Darth Vader mode as second-half power play floors Leipzig | Andy Brassell

Bayern Munich has gone into "Darth Vader mode" in its second-half power plays, leaving RB Leipzig struggling to keep up. The Bavarian giants came from behind to secure a 5-2 win at home, capping off an impressive first half of the season.

Bayern's coach, Vincent Kompany, had warned that his team would have to "start completely from scratch" in the second half if they wanted to succeed. And start from scratch they did, with a blistering performance that left Leipzig reeling.

Serge Gnabry scored his 100th goal for Bayern in the 65th minute, while Michael Olise, introduced at halftime, ran wild with three assists and a goal. The Bayern squad was visibly rejuvenated after the break, as if they had tapped into some hidden reserve of energy.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig struggled to contain the Bavarian onslaught, despite being the better team in the first half. Kompany praised his side's "old-school mentality" and physical efforts, which left Leipzig flailing. Manuel Neuer pulled off an incredible one-handed save to deny Linton Maina from equalizing, further highlighting Bayern's superior quality.

The win sees Bayern take a significant step towards claiming the Bundesliga title, with 50 points from 18 games. RB Leipzig, meanwhile, falls to third in the table, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund also vying for the runners-up spot.

As for Bayern's future prospects, Olise's performance has sparked hopes that he could be a key player in their title bid. If they can maintain this level of form, 134 goals might not be out of the question – a truly astronomical target.

I'm loving this second-half turnaround from Bayern Munich 🤯! They were struggling at first but then completely turned it around like the Dark Lord himself 💫. Vincent Kompany's game plan was spot on and those guys are seriously hungry for that Bundesliga title 🏆. Michael Olise is a real game-changer now – 3 assists and a goal? That's some dark magic ⚡️! RB Leipzig just couldn't keep up with the Bayern onslaught 🌪️. And whoa, 134 goals this season? I think we're gonna see some crazy scoring numbers from those guys 😲. My money's on them taking it all the way now 💸.

🤔 I'm loving how Bayern Munich is on fire right now! 🚀 Their second-half power plays are straight fire 💥 and it's clear that Vincent Kompany has been doing something right as coach. That Gnabry 100th goal was just the icing on the cake 🎂, but seriously though, Michael Olise's performance was insane 😲! 3 assists and a goal in one game? That's like, next level 💪. I'm loving how his energy and creativity are sparking life into the team. And let's be real, Bayern's gonna take that title this season 🏆... 134 goals might not be out of the question after all 😂!

I'm loving the resurgence of Bayern Munich, it's like they've tapped into some sort of magic 💫. The second-half turnaround was insane, I mean, who expects that kind of performance? 😲 Serge Gnabry breaking his 100th goal milestone is cool and all, but Michael Olise taking over like that is what's really got me hyped 🤯. Bayern's squad depth is honestly inspiring. Kompany's old-school mentality comment makes sense too, I think it's a big part of their success this season. Neuer's save was pure genius 😎...

man i'm still trying to wrap my head around bayern's crazy comeback 😱 like seriously who saw that coming? vincent kompany was talking trash about them having to start from scratch but i guess he was just trolling 🤣 and then michael olise comes in and just ruins leipzig with 3 assists and a goal wow what a performance! 🤯 i'm starting to think bayern's got this thing in the bag for that title 🏆

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this "Darth Vader mode" thing. Is Bayern's coach Vincent Kompany even allowed to use Star Wars analogies in press conferences? 🤔 Source, please? And btw, 134 goals in a season is basically trolling us. Have they ever been known for being prolific goal-scorers like that before? Was this just a fluke or did someone actually crunch the stats? 💪

🤯 I'm loving Bayern Munich's "Darth Vader mode" right now 🚀! They totally stepped up their game after halftime and left Leipzig in the dust 💥. Vincent Kompany's strategy was spot on, and it's clear that his team has been working hard to perfect their craft 🔥. Serge Gnabry hitting 100 goals for Bayern is amazing news 🎉, and Michael Olise's performance was pure magic ✨. This win is a huge confidence booster for the squad, and I'm really hoping they can keep this momentum going throughout the season 💪. 134 goals might seem like a stretch, but if anyone can do it, Bayern Munich can 😏!
