Amazon Delivery Driver Caught Stealing Cat from Yorkshire Home, Leaving Owner Devastated.
A shocking video has emerged showing an Amazon delivery driver allegedly stealing a cat from a doorstep in West Yorkshire. Carl Crowther, 53, was left "really worried" and "devastated" when he discovered that the driver had snatched his beloved pet, Nora, right from under his nose.
According to Crowther, the incident occurred on Monday January 19th when he left for work an hour before the delivery arrived. He returned home to find a parcel at the door, but it was not what he expected to see instead - the Amazon driver standing by the cat's favourite spot, Nora.
The driver appeared to be going about his normal routine outside Crowther's house before spotting the unsuspecting feline. He then picked up Nora and turned her into his car without anyone noticing.
Crowther is adamant that the theft was spontaneous, but he is convinced that the driver had no intention of stealing him cat. "He doesn't get a response at the door as no one was in," Crowther explained. "He looks for somewhere safe to put the parcel, and then he clocks the cat."
The elderly man said that Nora has a heart murmur and requires medication, which is why her safe return is of utmost importance.
The incident has been reported to West Yorkshire police, who have launched an investigation into the alleged crime. Amazon has also stepped in, confirming that they are investigating the matter and had previously spoken with the authorities.
However, Crowther was left feeling disheartened by his experience with Amazon after reporting the theft. He claimed that the company's response was "disgusting" as he requested monetary value for Nora's loss, to which he responded, "How can you put a value on somebody's pet?"
The police have assured that inquiries are ongoing and they will do everything possible to locate Nora and bring her back home safely.
