I feel you, Phillies fans are going through so much stress already and now the future of key arms is uncertain... Jordan Romano, Carlos Estévez, Jeff Hoffman were all let go and it's like they're starting from scratch again. But at the same time, having Jhoan Duran and David Robertson on the team is a huge boost... They need to find that balance between keeping their reliable veterans and giving younger arms a chance to shine. It's a tough decision but I'm sure they'll do what's best for the team...
I think it's weird that the Phillies are considering cutting David Robertson, he's like 41 but still has experience and knows what he's doing . They should at least try to keep him around for one more year as a veteran arm in case they need someone who can close games when Duran's not playing well. And what about Alvarado? He was suspended for steroid use, I'm not sure how reliable he'll be after that . Maybe the Phillies should focus on signing some younger relievers to take over those spots and rebuild their bullpen. It's gonna be an interesting offseason .
omg i cant believe we might lose jordan romano he was so clutch in the playoffs last year and now theyre gonna cut him?? i mean i know he had some rough games but like 9 mil option is nothing if u ask me i think the phillies should just stick with what works and keep all the good arms. jhoan duran is a beast and robertson was great too lets not mess w/ good things
I'm so over this bullpen drama . The Phillies are stuck between keeping reliable but aging vets like Robertson and taking a chance on unproven young guns. It's like they're trying to solve a puzzle with too many missing pieces . And don't even get me started on the uncertainty surrounding guys like Alvarado... I mean, come on, $9 million option? That's a lot of money for someone who's got a history of, ahem, "questionable" behavior . I just want to see some consistency out of their bullpen already !
omg have u ever noticed how avocados are getting so expensive everywhere?! i swear, like, i can remember when ur average grocery store would have them for like $1.50 a pop now its like 3 bucks easy! anywayz back to the Phillies bullpen... idk man, i think jordan romano was a decent pickup but they shoulda stuck with estévez and hoffman lol just saying
I'm low-key worried about the Phillies' bullpen situation this offseason . I mean, Jhoan Duran is their ace closer and he's still under contract for like 4 more years ! But at the same time, some of these older guys are just not performing well and it's like they're holding the team back. David Robertson was supposed to be a solid veteran arm but his performance in the postseason was sketchy . And what's up with Jordan Romano? He was one of their big signings last year and he underperformed big time . I think the Phillies need to take some chances on younger guys to shake things up and get that bullpen more competitive
